MERRILLVILLE | People donating to the Melissa Cook Memorial Foundation will earn a chance to win football tickets to see Notre Dame play Boston College Oct. 24 at Notre Dame Stadium.

The fundraiser runs through Aug. 31. The winner will receive two press box tickets to the game, a parking pass, a two-night stay at the South Bend Holiday Inn and a gift certificate for dinner at the hotel.

The Melissa Cook Memorial Foundation honors Cook, a Merrillville native and 1994 Notre Dame graduate who was killed in Chicago in March 2002 when scaffolding fell from the John Hancock Center, striking her car.

The foundation provides scholarships to students in Northwest Indiana who might not be able to afford college because of financial limitations.
