CROWN POINT | Tom and Ed's Pick Your Favorite Car Night returns for the second year to the Crown Point Car Cruise tonight.

The car cruise, which takes place from 5 to 8:30 p.m. every Thursday night May thru September around the historic downtown square, has moved to Beacon Hill Plaza on Broadway today and Aug. 14 only.

Every attendee and participant will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite car at the Tom and Ed's blue tent by the band. Voting will take place from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.; only one vote per person is allowed and voters must be at least 5.

The results will be tabulated and a special trophy will be awarded, on behalf of Tom & Ed's Autobody, Inc., at the last car cruise of the season, the "Last Ride," set for Sept. 25 from 6-9 p.m. around the downtown square

Tom and Ed's Autobody Inc. will also be sponsoring additional prizes and giveaways at today's cruise.

Spectator parking will be behind Walgreen's at 109th and Broadway, with event staff directing traffic. From 5 to 8:30 p.m., Crown Point's Molley the Trolley will transport passengers, at no charge, from additional parking at Tom and Ed's Autobody, Inc., 10730 Broadway, to the cruise area.

NOWTRIP will be highlighting the entertainment today with rock, pop, bluegrass and family fun acoustic music. Band members Dc Atkins and Chance have been writing music together for more than 14 years and are familiar to patrons at The Coffee Cup during open mic nights every Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m.
