Sauk Village police seized about 200 pounds of marijuana Wednesday morning.
Two adult men remain in custody, and felony charges are pending, Sauk Village Police Chief Thomas Lacheta said.
Police made the seizure during a traffic stop near the interchange of U.S. 30 and Illinois Route 394, Lacheta said. It was the largest drug seizure by village police in the last 10 years, he said.
The Sauk Village Police Department, Cook County Sheriff's police and agents from the DEA assisted with the investigation, Holevis said.
