'Carousel' | Chicago
University of Chicago's Court Theatre will present "Carousel" now through April 13. Rodgers & Hammerstein's adaptation of Ferenc Molnar's "Liliom" is under the direction of artistic director Charles Newell and music director Doug Peck. Tickets are $32 general, $28 senior, $24 student, $20 faculty/staff and $10 for University of Chicago students.

New exhibit | Chicago
The Museum of Science and Industry's new exhibit, The Glass Experience, runs through Sept. 1. This interactive exhibition reveals the science, craftsmanship and beauty that is the world of glass and glassmaking. Visitors will be able to watch live master glassmakers from New York's Corning Museum of Glass work with molten glass at 2,300 degrees Fahrenheit. Each day the artisans will choose one design drawn by a guest and bring it to life in the form of a glass masterpiece. Admission to the exhibit requires a timed entry ticket. It is not included in museum admission.

Adler Planetarium | Chicago
Adler Planetarium has three floors of exhibits on astronomy, space exploration, telescopes and navigation. The museum is at 1300 S. Lake Shore Drive. Its hours are 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays and weekends. The first Friday of every month it is open from 9:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The planetarium is currently featuring "Fly Me to the Moon," a space adventure with three starry-eyed bugs and the crew of Apollo 11. Shown in the Adler's newly renovated 3-D Universe Theater, this animated story combines a space adventure with the first Moon landing.

Field Museum | Chicago
The Field Museum offers exhibits on natural history. View exhibits and displays of more than 15 million artifacts and specimens including Sue, the largest tyrannosaurus rex dinosaur on display in the world.

Festival | Chicago
Taste of Lebanon is from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. March 29 at Lebanon Lutheran Church, 13100 S. Manistee Ave. in Chicago's Hegewisch neighborhood. The event is a celebration of diversity through food featuring Irish, Italian, Indian, German and Swedish dishes and featuring an international dessert table.

Vocal recital | Chicago
St. Xavier University alumna Michelle Gliottoni-Rodriguez will perform an alumni vocal recital at 7:30 p.m. March 29 at SXU's McGuire Hall in the Warde Academic Center at 3700 W. 103rd St. Gliottoni-Rodriguez, a soprano, will perform pieces by various composers. The concert is open to the public. Admission is $10 for adults and $8 for seniors and visiting students. Admission is free for all St. Xavier students, faculty and staff with a valid university ID.

Local recording vocalist Sarah Van Drunen will sing at 9:30 a.m. March 30 at St. Petri United Church of Christ, 103rd and Avenue L. She will have CDs available for purchase after the service during fellowship. Coffee and rolls will be served.
