HUNT BY FLASHLIGHT | Cedar Lake

Cedar Lake Parks and Recreation Department will sponsor a Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt for ages 10 to 16 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the Park of the Red Cedars, 7408 Constitution Ave. Participants will be treated to pizza and pop before the hunt, which ends with a raffle for door prizes. Bring a flashlight and a bag to collect the goodies. Cost is $3. Register by March 6 since space is limited.

EASTER EGGS HUNT | Cedar Lake

Children 12 and younger are invited to an Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by the Cedar Lake Parks and Recreation Department, Kiwanis and Key clubs. The hunt will begin at noon March 15 (rain date March 22) in the field behind Holy Name School, 13209 Schneider St. Bring a bag or basket. Children who find a golden egg can redeem it for a prize.

EGG-STRAVAGANZA | Hobart

Hobart Jaycees have teamed up with the County Line Orchard to hold the first Easter EGGstravaganza on March 15 at County Line Orchard, 200 County Line Road. A pancake breakfast will be held from 7 to 10 a.m. in the barn, followed by an Easter Egg Hunt at 11 that involves 10,000 eggs hidden in age appropriate areas on the orchard grounds. Photos with Mr. and Mrs. Bunny will be available in the barn as well as bike raffles, jelly bean counts and coloring contests. There also will be a cookie decorating station available compliments of Gordon Food Services.

HUNT ON THE FARM | Fair Oaks

Fair Oaks Farms Adventure Center is selling wristbands for this year's Easter Egg Hunt, which will be held March 15. Wristbands can be purchased online at www.fofarms.com or at the Adventure Center, 856 N 600 East. The first hunt will be divided into three age groups: 3 and younger will begin at 10 a.m., 4 to 6 year olds will begin at 10:30 and ages 7 to 9 will begin at 11. The second session follows at noon, 12:30 p.m. and 1, respectively, and the third session follows at 2 p.m. 2:30 and 3. Each hunt costs $5 per child. A child may participate in up to three hunts appropriate for his or her age group but must purchase separate wristbands. A child must be accompanied by an adult, who must purchase an adult wristband for $8. The wristbands not only allow access into the appropriate hunt but will also allow admission into the Adventure Center, Birthing Barn, the 3D/4D movie, and the new Mooville, which includes a 50-foot jumping pillow, mini train and mini tractors. Each child

participating in a hunt will receive a gift. Visit the Easter Bunny and get a photo taken free, and there will be free balloons and popcorn and free wagon rides. See a newborn calf being born. There will be thousands of eggs and plenty of candy for all.

EGG HUNT | Ogden Dunes

The annual Easter Egg hunt sponsored by the Ogden Dunes Lions Club will be held March 15 at the Ogden Dunes Fire Station, 111 Hillcrest Road. The hunt is for children through fourth grade. Breakfast for the children and parents will begin at 9 a.m. The cost is $3 per child and $5 per adult for breakfast. The egg hunt will begin at 10:30 a.m. The community is asked to help supply plastic eggs filled with wrapped candy and then sealed with tape. The eggs can be dropped in the box located in the entrance to the Ogden Dunes Town Hall, 115 Hillcrest Road.

EASTER EGG HUNT | Portage

Portage Kiwanis Club will host the annual Breakfast with the Easter Bunny from 8 to 10 a.m. March 15 in the Oakwood Grand Hall at Woodland Park, 2100 Willowcreek Road. Cost for the all-you-can-eat pancake and sausage breakfast is $5 per adult and $3 for children 12 years and younger. Free photos with the Easter Bunny will be available. The annual Portage parks department Easter Egg Hunt begins at 10 a.m. for youngsters 3 and 4. Children 5 and 6 years old will hunt at 10:15 a.m. Children 7 and 8 will look for eggs at 10:30 a.m. Register by March 8 at the parks' office at Woodland Park. The egg hunt is free and held rain or shine. Bring a basket or bag.

YOUTH GROUP HUNT | Munster

St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, 8601 Harrison Ave., holds its annual Easter Egg Hunt for children up to second grade on March 15, sponsored by the youth groups. Families should meet at 10 a.m. in the lunchroom for coffee, doughnuts and an Easter story. Weather permitting, the egg hunt will be held outdoors. Attendees should bring a basket or bag for collecting eggs.

FLASHLIGHT HUNT | Schererville

The Schererville Parks and Recreation Department hosts a flashlight egg hunt for youths 10 to 13 years old from 7 to 8 p.m. March 20 at Town Hall, 10 E. Joliet St. Register at the clerk-treasurer's office at Town Hall. The cost is $9 for residents and $10 for nonresidents. Immediately after the hunt, participants will enjoy pizza, pop, cookies, games and a raffle.

Rotary Club of Schererville has its annual Easter egg hunt at 9 a.m. March 22 at Rohrman Park, on Rohrman Road east of Cline Avenue. Registration is not required.

EGG HUNT | Valparaiso

First Presbyterian Church will hold an Easter egg hunt beginning at 12:30 p.m. March 16 at First Presbyterian Church, 3401 N. Valparaiso St., weather permitting. The hunt will be divided into age groups from toddlers to fifth graders.

EGG HUNT | Valparaiso

The Valparaiso Jaycees will host its 7th annual free Easter egg hunt beginning at 10 a.m. March 22 at the Porter county Expo center. Pictures with the Easter Bunny are $1. The hunt is free and open to children up to 12 years of age. The community is encouraged to bring nonperishable food items that will be donated to a local food pantry.

HUNT IS FREE | Cedar Lake

A free Easter Egg Hunt will be held March 22 at Community Bible Church, 13620 U.S. 41, for ages 2 years through grade 5. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. and the hunt starts at 10. Hunt bags will be provided to all children. In case of inclement weather, the hunt will be held indoors.
