Woman gets four years in cocaine case

CROWN POINT | A 34-year-old Indianapolis woman was sentenced Friday to four years in prison for dealing cocaine.

April Blaylock pleaded guilty to the Class B felony on Jan. 14. She was sentenced by Lake Superior Court Judge Thomas P. Stefaniak, Jr.

Blaylock was in a home in the 1100 block of Moss Street in Hammond on March 1 last year when she sold 2.8 grams of crack cocaine to a confidential informant for $200.

Co-defendant Travis Walker, 40, of Hammond, has an omnibus hearing set for Feb. 28.

He is charged with dealing in cocaine, possession of cocaine and maintaining a common nuisance.
