Hammond's own Thomas McDermott Jr. is scheduled to appear on CNN tonight to help Larry King dissect the crucial Indiana presidential primary tonight.

Mayor McDermott, a supporter of U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton, will appear on the program opposite Evansville Mayor Jonathan Weinzapfel, who is backing U.S. Sen. Barack Obama.

CNN's Web site says Larry King Live is broadcasting at a special time tonight, 11 p.m. central, focusing on the results of the Indiana and North Carolina primaries.

McDermott is appearing on the show via live feed from a television studio in Chicago. He was told he and Weinzapfel will be debating the results of the election in Indiana.

When Clinton made her first stop in Northwest Indiana in March, she came to the Hammond Civic Center, where she was introduced by McDermott and Lake County Sheriff Rogelio "Roy" Dominguez.
