About Hannah: Born Dec. 6, 1989. Daughter of Bob and Lisa Berridge, of Lansing. Sister to Ben. Granddaughter of Robert and Janice Berridge, of Marion, Iowa, and Ralph and Nancy Kamp, of St. Louis, Mo. Member of First Lutheran Church in Harvey.
Accomplishments: Hannah Berridge is a 2008 graduate of Thornton Fractional South High School. An honor student with a 4.5 grade-point average, she represented the class as valedictorian and was a commencement speaker. Berridge completed Advanced Placement Spanish V, U.S. history and calculus along with honors physics and English senior year. She was a member of National Honor Society, Mathletes and a Grade Assistance Program tutor. She earned three varsity athletic letters in cross county, was recognized as most dedicated runner sophomore and junior year and was presented with the Rebel Sprit award this year. Berridge was one of four students from the school chosen to participate in the televised Know Your Heritage game show. She plans to attend Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Mich., in the fall to major in secondary education with concentration in math and Spanish. She received a Presidential Scholarship from the school, also an American Legion Auxiliary, Lansing Old Timers and Alpha
Delta Kappa teacher sorority scholarship. Berridge attends a confirmation class at church and is active in Crossroads youth group at Faith Church in Dyer. She works in the concession stand at Lansing Sports Complex.
Personal heroes: "All the teachers at TF South because they do so much for their students."
Favorite book: "The Bible, by far. I read it daily. It's an amazing book. It's alive."
What I do for fun: "I love to run and hang out with my friends and family."
People might be surprised to know: "I was a dancer for five years."
