EASTER EGGS HUNT | Cedar Lake

Children 12 and younger are invited to an Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by the Cedar Lake Parks and Recreation Department, Kiwanis and Key clubs. The hunt will begin at noon today (rain date March 22) in the field behind Holy Name School, 13209 Schneider St. Bring a bag or basket. Children who find a golden egg can redeem it for a prize.

SENIORS EVENT | Lake Station

Drifting Dunes Girl Scouts from Service Unit 16 will host an event for senior citizens 60 and older from 2 to 4 p.m. March 16 at the Lake Station Boys and Girls Club, 4700 Central Ave. An afternoon of engaging activities, entertainment and refreshments will be provided by Daisy through Senior Girl Scouts from several troops. The purpose of the event is to engage girls through community service during "Girl Scout Week," which observes the anniversary of the founding of the organization by Juliette Gordon Low on March 12, 1912. The event is free to the first 100 seniors who register. Call to register.

EGG-STRAVAGANZA | Hobart

Hobart Jaycees have teamed up with the County Line Orchard to hold the first Easter EGGstravaganza today at County Line Orchard, 200 County Line Road. A pancake breakfast will be held from 7 to 10 a.m. in the barn, followed by an Easter Egg Hunt at 11 that involves 10,000 eggs hidden in age appropriate areas on the orchard grounds. Photos with Mr. and Mrs. Bunny will be available in the barn as well as bike raffles, jelly bean counts and coloring contests. There also will be a cookie decorating station available compliments of Gordon Food Services.

RETIREMENT WORKSHOP | Merrillville

A free Pre-Retirement Counseling Workshop will be held for BP/AMOCO employees at 6 p.m. March 19 at The Patio Restaurant, 7706 Broadway. Kent R. Huntoon, AAMS, a financial advisor with A.G. Edwards & Sons, will make the presentation. Hors d'ouevres and refreshments will be served. HUNT ON THE FARM | Fair Oaks

Fair Oaks Farms Adventure Center is selling wristbands for today's Easter Egg Hunt online at www.fofarms.com or at the Adventure Center, 856 N 600 East. The first hunt will be divided into three age groups: 3 and younger will begin at 10 a.m., 4 to 6 year olds will begin at 10:30 and ages 7 to 9 will begin at 11. The second session follows at noon, 12:30 p.m. and 1, respectively, and the third session follows at 2 p.m. 2:30 and 3. Each hunt costs $5 per child. A child may participate in up to three hunts appropriate for his or her age group but must purchase separate wristbands. A child must be accompanied by an adult, who must purchase an adult wristband for $8. The wristbands will also allow admission into the Adventure Center, Birthing Barn, the 3D/4D movie, and the new Mooville, which includes a 50-foot jumping pillow, mini train and mini tractors. Each child participating in a hunt will receive a gift. Visit the Easter Bunny and get a photo taken free, and there will be

free balloons and popcorn and free wagon rides.

LODGE DINNER | Hobart

M. L. McClelland Lodge 357 Free & Accepted Masons will host a Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the Hobart Masonic Lodge, 219 Center St. Donation for adults is $8, while children 5 and younger just need a smile.

EASTER EGGS | Munster

St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, 8601 Harrison Ave., will hold its annual Easter Egg Hunt for children through grade 2 on March 15, sponsored by the youth groups. Families should meet in the lunchroom at 10 a.m. for coffee, donuts and a special Easter story. Weather permitting, the egg hunt will be held outdoors. Bring a basket or bag for collecting eggs.

WILLS & TRUSTS | Dyer

"Wills, Trusts & Guardianships For Children With Disabilities" is the latest program offering from the parent networks of the West Lake and Northwest Indiana special education cooperatives, to will be presented at 6:30 p.m. March 18 at Kahler Middle School, 600 Joliet St. Attorney John O'Drobinak will explain what parents and guardians need to know about creating wills and trusts and retaining guardianship of their children with disabilities. Refreshments will be served, and registration, though not required, would be appreciated.

PHOTO CONTEST | Lowell

Deadline for the fifth annual Amateur Photography Contest sponsored by the Lowell Parks and Recreation Department is April 25. Age divisions are grade school, middle school, high school and adult, and categories, both black-and-white and color, are nature scene, wildlife, pets, people, still life, sports, architecture and historical. Photos must have been taken April, 2007 through April, 2008, except for the historical category. An open house for public viewing of the entries and presentation of first- through fourth-place ribbons and participation certificates will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. May 2 at Freedom Center, 17105 Cline Ave. Rules for submission are available from the park office.

Children can Bowl The Day Away at 4 p.m. Wednesdays, March 19 to April 9, at the Super Bowl, Inc., 218 S. ANTIQUES SHOW | Washington Twp.

Mental Health America of Porter County will hold the 21st annual Antiques and Collectibles Show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 29 and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 30 at the Porter County Expo Center, Ind. 49 at Division Road. Admission is $4. Children younger than 12 years will be admitted free. The event features a Porter County's Own Antique Revue from 6 to 9 p.m. March 28 with free appraisals, silent auction and an appetizer buffet. Dealers' booths will be open. Tickets for Porter County's Own Antique Revue will be $25, and there will be a cash bar. The antiques show is a major benefit fundraiser for Mental Health America of Porter County. Booths are available to rent for $100.
