CALUMET CITY | Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect in connection with a shooting Friday in the 400 block of Garfield Avenue that left a 23-year-old Chicago man dead.

Ruben Marcardo was pronounced dead at 5:05 a.m. at a Chicago hospital, according to a Calumet City Police Department news release

Police about 6 p.m. responded to the 400 block of Garfield to a call of shots fired. Witnesses told police that four people in a boxy vehicle fled the area following the shooting.
