Times Staff Report
CROWN POINT | The Crown Point Fire Department extinguished a small fire in the attic of a large home near 130th Avenue and Marshall Street on Monday evening.
Crown Point acting Fire Chief Mark Baumgardner Sr. said the wires in a combination fan, heater and light in the bathroom started to fray because of age. The wires started burning insulation in the attic, he said.
The Fire Department put out the small fire a little after 6 p.m. Monday. Baumgardner said there was limited damage.
