Refreshments, raffle and browsing included
LOWELL | Craft loving shoppers are invited to attend a Holiday Craft Fair at the Lowell Public Library from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 22. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library, the fair will offer a variety of craft media for visitors looking for special handcrafted treasures.
Within the warm, cozy atmosphere of the library's two meeting rooms, visitors can find jewelry, primitive art, holiday crafts, gift baskets and mugs, scrapbooks, purses, pavers, and other charming crafts.
Do you like pierogies? Children's Programmer Mrs. Mayhew makes some of the best and will have them available to purchase and take home.
At the fair, Young Adult Coordinator Debbie Blink and her volunteers will offer hot dogs and soft drinks to hungry shoppers, while the Children's Department will offer homemade baked goods for sale.
In the library's foyer, the Friends of the Library will have tickets available for its Nov. 29 drawing for the beautiful quilt created by the Lowell Library Quilters, on display in the main room of the library.
All of the proceeds from the fair and the quilt raffle will be donated to the library for programming in 2009.
"While you're here, browse among the book stacks," urged Library Programmer Nell Fabish. "Check out the latest materials, including CDs, DVDs and video additions."
