INDIANAPOLIS | Road closures in the wake of the weekend flooding and subsequent road closures has postponed mail delivery to several zip codes beginning with 463 and 464, the U.S. Postal Service announced Tuesday afternoon.

Affected areas include: Cedar Lake, Chesterton, Crown Point, DeMotte, Dyer, East Chicago, Gary, Griffith, Hebron, Hobart, Lake Village, LaPorte, Lowell, Merrillville, Munster, Schererville, St. John, and Valparaiso.

According to the postal service, customers in these areas who live on streets with limited access may pick up their mail at their local post office until delivery resumes.

The following are the addresses of local post offices in the 463 and 464 zip code areas that serve addresses impacted by the flooding:
