Keith Moreno

About Keith:

Born May 4, 1990.

Son of Guillermo and Nancy Moreno of Hebron.

Brother to Adam.

Grandson of Ruth Moreno of Mexico.

Member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Valparaiso.

Accomplishments: Keith Moreno is a 2008 graduate of Hebron High School. He achieved academic distinction and was ranked in the top 10 percent of his class. Moreno was a member of National Honor Society, president of Student Council and vice president of Drama Club; he was president junior year. He was involved in Spanish, Science and Art clubs and choir. Moreno was active in drama all four years, both on stage and behind the scenes. Senior year he had a lead role in the production of "Mid Summers Night Dream". An athlete, Moreno played varsity soccer and ran varsity track competing in hurdles, pole vault and sprints. He also participated in Campus Life and a Bible study group. Moreno attended Porter County Leadership Conference and then returned as a council member for two years. He participates in his church youth group and PATH, Positive Approach to Teen Health. Moreno will attend Kalamazoo College in the fall to major in psychology and minor in Spanish and foreign affairs. He's

received a Kalamazoo College Honor Scholarship and a John T. Williamson Award from the school.

Personal hero: "My parents. They've really set me on the right path, taught me what it means to be who I am and the importance of that. They pushed me to follow my dreams. I really have to thank them."

What I read: "I'm into the classics n Shakespeare, Dickens and Poe. One of my favorite authors is Phillip Pullman."

What I do for fun: "I like to hang out with friends, play music, read and draw."
