Opportunity Enterprises was awarded a $10,302.86 donation from Walgreens, to help construct a canopy for OE's new facility, Lakeside Opportunities, a 158-acre property that is centrally located on the border of Lake and Porter counties on the shores of Lake Eliza. The canopy will shelter OE clients from inclement weather as they enter and exit the program center.

Two of OE's day-service programs for adults, Renewed Horizons Adult Day Center and Enriching Possibilities, are now based at Lakeside Opportunities. The new facility includes a 13,000 square foot program center and provides much needed space for Opportunity Enterprises to expand its traditional day services, while also offering innovative wellness programs, outdoor education and diversified recreation activities.

Opportunity Enterprises is dedicated to promoting self-sufficiency and life choices for challenged individuals. Through a variety of services, enrichment programs and vocational opportunities, OE provides assistance and employment for hundreds of individuals in Porter County and throughout Northwest Indiana.
