SCHERERVILLE | Schererville police responded to a call Friday morning of ducklings stuck in a drain at the southwest corner of the U.S. 30 and U.S. 41 intersection.

Officers received a similar call a little more than a week ago.

Both times, officers made lassos out of string and pulled the mallard ducklings to safety.

Police are unsure whether it was the same group of ducklings that fell into the drain both times.
