Obama campaign plans nomination night parties

Barack Obama's Indiana Campaign for Change announced plans for watch parties across Northwest Indiana on Thursday evening, when Obama is scheduled to accept the Democratic nomination for president in Denver.

Gatherings include one at 7 p.m. at Hammond's Jean Shepherd Center, 3031 J.F. Mahoney Drive, and another at 7:15 p.m. at Gary's Genesis Convention Center, 1 Genesis Center Plaza.

In addition, watch parties will be held at several local campaign offices and the homes of Obama supporters throughout Northwest Indiana.
