You submited the questions, here are the answers. Answers will be updated on this page throughout the evening.

Crown Point coach Clint Swan

Q: In one of the state's toughest sectionals, what will it take to win it all at Michigan City?

A: Depth will be a big factor, along with good shooting. And shooting free throws in crunch time will also play a big role. Whoever gets to Saturday night, and I sure hope that we're playing on that night, it will come down to who plays the best. I know it's a cliché, but whoever knocks down shots, rebounds and plays good, team defense will cut down the nets.

Wheeler Coach Mike Jones

Q: Knowing you were present at E.C. on Friday watching Bishop Noll, could you critique Noll's performance and tell what would be key if you were to face them in the semifinals on Friday night?

A: "They played really well. They shot the ball extremely well. Obviously, Chorba is one of the best players in the area. The key is, their other guys are stepping up, and if they play the way they're capable of playing, it makes it a lot harder to try to take Chorba out of game.

Schooler has improved immensely with his ability to handle the ball, East Chicago was pressing and he did a really good job handling it. They play six guys, and five of them are seniors. They have the experience in that type of enviroment, so you're going to have to go through them to win."

Morgan Twp.'s Collin McCartt

Q: How much does it help having so many players who have been a part of a lot of tournament success?

"I think it's huge. I think we had an advantage a couple times in big games, obviously the PCC tournament and the South County final. Wheeler was also a big game and I thought we played really well there, too."

Q:Having lost to Kouts, do you expect your team to come back motivated to beat them in the sectional?

A: "I think the kids will be ready to play. They're probably pretty eager to get another shot at Kouts. It was an incredibly poor performance and we still almost came back. Defensively, we were really bad, especially in the first half. We got down 15, 16 points, and we can't do that. Offensively, they were very good that night. But there are some adjustments we already know we're going to make, and it's just a matter of execuiting them. It's going to be one of those emotional games."

Tom Peller

Q: How concerned are you with Jordan Lewis getting right back into the flow in sectionals after finishing his four-game suspension?

A:"He's been practicing with us. We've been working him back in with the first group. Probably two out of every three times, it's Tommy (Peller). I don't think it'll be that big of an issue. We know him, he knows us. We know we'll be back to full strength."

Bishop Noll coach Drew Trost

Q: How much do you think Friday night's game at E.C. will help prepare your team for tournament play? And even though your team lost to E.C., do you think you sent a message?

A: East Chicago was a very hostile environment. And we won't see a better team in our state tournament. It is a game we could've, and I think, should've won. We won't see as hostile of an environment and we won't play a better team than that. So I believe it will be very benefitial.

E.C. Central coach Abe Brown

Q: Are you concerned that you almost got beat by Bishop Noll, a Class 2A team?

A: Hey, Bishop Noll is a great team, even though they're 2A. They can compete with any 4A team. There are a lot of 4A schools that are more like a 2A school. I feel that we'll be all right.

Calumet coach Carl Traicoff

Q: You haven't coached in 10 years. The last time you coached in the postseason the tourney was single class and you hosted it. How are you looking at traveling to Kankakee Valley in Class 3A?

A: There's definitely an advantage of playing at home. If someone disagrees, they don't know what they're talking about. But I've always enjoyed road games. I do. It's fun to go somewhere and try to beat them. It's an interesting tournament. It's different. But I'm excited about the opportunity and I believe the kids are, too.

Clark coach Joe Delgado

Q: You've won two straight sectional titles. In 2006, your team took a three-game winning streak heading into the sectionals. In 2007, your Pioneers had an eight-game winning streak heading into sectionals. You currently own a three-game winning streak with Hanover Central and Whiting this weekend. How important is it for you to finish strong?

A: It's huge to get on a nice win streak. Hanover's pretty tough and then we have to go over to our rival, Whiting. We want to finish the season strong. We've put together a couple of winning streaks right at the end of the last two seasons. We want to do that again.
