VALPARAISO | A Valparaiso woman on Monday afternoon crashed her mini-van through the front window at the Family Circle Cleaners, the laundromat located at 1607 Calumet Ave. in Valparaiso -- just north of Town & Country Market.

The driver, Beverly Cicenas, 53, of Valparaiso, was shaken up but not injured, witnesses told The Times. Fire Department medics were, however, checking her after the crash.

Nobody inside the Laundromat was injured in the crash, which occurred shortly before 1 p.m., and the owner stated the business would remain open.
