Ingalls offers chronic pain seminar

CALUMET CITY | Participants will have the chance to find ways to relieve chronic pain during a free Shoulder, Knee & Hip Pain Seminar at Ingalls Family Care Center.

Dr. David Smith, orthopedic surgeon on staff at Ingalls who has special expertise in treating shoulder, knee and hip pain and improving mobility with a focus on using the least invasive treatments, will present the seminar.

The seminar will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Nov. 14 at Ingalls Family Care Center, 1600 Torrence Ave., at the corner of 170th Street and Torrence.

Smith will discuss joint-related problems such as pain, arthritis, rotator cuff injuries and meniscal tears of the knee, as well as provide an overview of the anatomy and latest surgical procedures for repair of the shoulder, knee and hip. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and take advantage of diagnostic utltrasound testing.
