Courts asked to foreclose on massive Pepper Creek home
VALPARAISO | Von Tobel Lumber Co. has filed a lawsuit seeking foreclosure on a massive home being built by a local developer in the Pepper Creek subdivision.
The lumber company claims Bryan Siewin, of Signature Construction, has failed to pay a bill for labor and supplies delivered to the construction site at 3331 Pepper Creek. The sale of the home is requested to cover the bill, which reportedly totaled $376,891 as of July 24.
Neither Siewin nor his attorney, David Appel, could be reached Wednesday for comment.
The suit, which was filed on behalf of the lumber company by Valparaiso attorney Thomas Hillers, centers around the large brown brick and stone home visible from the intersection of Ransom and Froberg roads in Valparaiso.
Von Tobel claims in the suit that Signature Construction entered into a credit agreement Jan. 27, 2005, to pay interest, attorney fees and court costs on delinquent invoices.
The lumber company said it made several deliveries to the property in question, ending on Jan. 2. A series of liens were placed on the property.
