CELEBRATING YOUNG ARTISTS

Calumet College of St. Joseph will exhibit the works of 100 local artists in their seventh annual High School Art Show. The pieces include painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, 3-D art and mixed media. Among art to be on display is this work, "Free Run," by Ian O'Boyle, of Hammond. He is a junior at Bishop Noll Institute in Hammond. Other participating high schools include Crown Point, Hammond, Hanover Central, Hebron, Highland, Lake Central, Mount Carmel and Portage. An opening reception is planned ror 4:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the college's Bernard Gallery, 2400 New York Ave. in Hammond. Awards will be presented at 6 p.m. The public is welcome.
