2 men sought in robbery at E.C. credit union

EAST CHICAGO | The FBI is assisting police in looking for a man accused of robbing an Indiana Harbor bank Thursday.

Witnesses told police a man entered the Tech Credit Union in the 2300 block of East Columbus Drive in East Chicago shortly after 11 a.m. with his right hand in his jacket pocket and demanded cash from a teller.

The man ran out of the bank with an undisclosed amount of currency and fled in a red pickup truck with a white and blue tailgate driven by a second man, witnesses said.

The robber is described as a clean-shaven, light-skinned black man, about 6 feet tall with a thin build. He was wearing a tan coat with fur around its hood.

The getaway driver is described as a black man with a medium complexion in his late 30s or early 40s.
