Youngsters are invited to Book It to the Barnyard during the summer reading program at South Haven Public Library. The program runs to July 12 at the library, 403 W. County Road 700 North. In addition to the independent reading program, children can sign up for various activities offered throughout the six weeks. The library invites youngsters to learn how to care for pets, to show their pets in the annual pet show, to make crafts, to tie-dye T-shirts and to join a cookout. Registration is required.

The Porter County Public Library System will offer an adult summer reading program through July 31. Adults with a valid library card are encouraged to read or listen to a book from the library collection and then fill out a review card and return it to the adult services desk.
