ST JOHN | The Plan Commission has approved a plat correction that will affect a portion of the very sizeable Gates of St. John development.
The project's representatives had appeared before the board at their June 20 study session to request the plat correction, which allows for a larger frontage for the Suncrest Church.
Though the church is not part of the Gates development, developer Todd Leeth told the board in June that he'd like to accommodate the church by increasing its frontage on 101st, which currently stands at 128 feet.
This would be accomplished, he said, by reducing the size of two lots in Units 13 and 14 and giving it to the church, thus doubling the 101st frontage.
Plan commissioners subsequently approved the changes in a unanimous vote at their July 5 meeting.
Units 13 and 14 have already been granted primary plat approval, and the changes will be noted on the plat when the developer comes back before the board for secondary approval.
