CROWN POINT | Lake Criminal Court Judge Diane Ross Boswell sentenced a Cedar Lake man to three years in prison Tuesday for fondling a 9-year-old girl.

Thomas Stevenson II, 40, pleaded guilty to child molesting Aug. 29. In addition to the prison sentence, Boswell ordered Stevenson to serve two years probation and to register as a sex offender.

Stevenson admitted he improperly touched the girl throughout a period of months in 2006 until she told a social worker at her elementary school.
