Buffalo Wild Wings scheduled to open near end of the year
CROWN POINT | Once the buildings are complete, customers of a new development at the corner of Summit Street and Broadway will be able to do their banking, sip a cup of joe and eat a wing or two.
Crown Village, at the corner of Summit Street and Broadway, is a six-lot commercial and retail development that received plat approval from the city in 2007, said Planning Administrator Steve Nigro.
Although Nigro said no paperwork has been filed, according to a permit from the Indiana Alcohol and Tobacco Commission, Buffalo Wild Wings Bar and Grill has plans to build a restaurant in the development.
Lisa Hendricks, a regional marketing manager with Buffalo Wild Wings Bar and Grill, said Friday the restaurant is scheduled to open at that location toward the end of December or the beginning of January.
Also, one lot has had site plan approval for a Citizens Financial Bank branch and a coffee shop on its 1.5 acres. At a Plan Commission meeting Sept. 8, Vince Caprio, the architect for the project, said the idea behind the coffee shop was to bring customers to the area so they could bank and get their morning coffee.
Another lot has received approval for five connected retail stores on its 7.3 acres, Nigro said.
