ST. JOHN | Lake Central School Corp. began registration this week for new students and will hold registration next week for returning students.

At the high school, returning students whose last names begin with A through L should sign up from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday. Last names beginning with M through Z should sign up from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday. All students can register from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Freshmen should report to the Freshmen Center, Entrance E. All other grades should report to the high school cafeteria.

High school students new to the district should call the guidance office immediately to schedule classes. The office can be reached at (219) 365-8551, ext. 229.

Middle school students new to the district should register from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. today and Friday.

Returning students in grades five and six who will attend Clark, Grimmer or Kahler middle schools should register from 9 a.m. to noon or 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Returning students in grades seven and eight who will attend Clark or Kahler should register from 9 a.m. to noon or 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Returning students in grades seven and eight who will attend Grimmer should register from 9 a.m. to noon and 4 to 6 p.m. Aug. 14.

Elementary school registrations will take place at students' schools.

Students new to the district should register from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. today and Friday. Returning students register from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. Monday.

Parents and guardians whose income falls within the state guidelines may apply for free or reduced-price meals and textbook assistance at registration.
