C.P. council to discuss bonds, take-home cars
The Crown Point City Council will consider approval of an $3 million bond for St. Anthony Medical Center's new outpatient facility at Interstate 65 and U.S. 231 at its meeting Monday night.
The bond will be used to reimburse the medical center for infrastructure improvements including the extension of Mississippi Parkway.
The council also will consider adoption of a capital improvement plan that details large city purchases and expenses through 2015. It will be rolled into a comprehensive financial plan. Projected improvements include the 109th interchange, a new fire station, emergency and city vehicles, and bike trails.
The council also will consider an ordinance restricting the use of take-home vehicles to the city limits and to public safety, elected officials and authorized department heads.
The meeting will be at 7 p.m. Monday in City Council chambers at 101 N. East St.
