Everyday Americans are watching Congress carefully

Soon, we'll be presented with information on the status of the situation in Iraq. It's been well documented that the current administration takes great liberties via revisionism.

I'm thoroughly disgusted with the deceit, malice, greed and hubris of this administration. I'm calling upon Congress to put an end to this disastrous policy. I demand, per their oath, that congressmen protect the people and the Constitution from this ongoing domestic threat. They must vote "nay" for:

* Any war funding unless specifically for troop withdrawal.

* Any expansion of our presence in the Middle East.

* Any extension of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act legislation.

Remember, there are many savvy, everyday folks who are paying extremely close attention to everything Congress is doing. We'll continue to increase our volume until Congress starts abiding by our Constitution. Obviously, President Bush, Vice President Cheney, et al., have zero interest in that direction, so it falls to Congress to rein in them in.

Congressmen's votes will tell whether they value their career over the Constitution.

Deb Clemens, Hobart
