HAMMOND | The AAU District (State) Cross Country Championship Meet will be held on Oct, 28 at Lost Marsh Golf Course, Calumet Avenue and 129th Street in Hammond. Check-in time is 7:45 a.m. Races start at 9 a.m. The meet qualifies athletes to the AAU National Cross Country Championship on Dec. 1 at Virginia Beach.

On Oct. 14, the Hammond Track Club and the Calumet Region Striders will host a Cross Country Developmental Run at Woodland Park, US 20 and Willowcreek Road, Portage. Check-in time is 10 a.m. Races start at 11 a.m.

On Oct. 21, a warm-up preliminary meet will be at Lost Marsh. Check-in time is 7:45 a.m. Races start at 9 a.m.
