During his time at Valparaiso High School and even while at Purdue, getting into foul trouble generally meant a loss for Robbie Hummel.

Playing for Team USA is a different story, and despite being limited to just three points in 12 minutes, Hummel walked off the court with a smile on Saturday after the Americans knocked off South Korea 113-76 in the final preliminary game at the World University Games in Belgrade, Serbia.

"I picked up some early fouls, so I was limited," Hummel said. "We were OK because we've got a bunch of guys that can step up and play without any problem."

Seven players scored in double figures, including a team-high 14 points apiece from James Anderson (Oklahoma State) and Quincy Pondexter (Washington). Hummel finished with three points, five rebounds, two assists and a steal.

Team USA will now move on to the second round of pool play, where the Americans will be matched against Finland, Greece and Serbia. Having already beaten Finland, the Americans will play Greece on Monday and Serbia on Tuesday. Serbia knocked off the United States 98-82 during a warm-up game last week.

"It was very important for us to win our group and get back on track," Hummel said. "We need to focus on the next team we play, but obviously, if we get to play Serbia, it (revenge) will be on our minds."

In other action at the World University Games, Valparaiso University sophomore Cameron Witt scored two points and grabbed a rebound as Australia fell 84-66 to Serbia. At the U-19 championships in New Zealand, incoming VU freshman Ryan Broekhoff had six points and six rebounds to help lead Australia to a 96-54 win over Syria.
