Mt. Carmel Foundation presents 'Salute to the Champions'
CICERO | The Mount Carmel Foundation will hold "Salute to the Champions" on Dec. 12 in the Turf Club at Hawthorne Race Course, 3501 S. Laramie, Cicero. Honorees include Wayne Watson, Class of 1964, President of Chicago State University, for Lifetime Achievement Award; Tom Dart, Class of 1980, Sheriff of Cook County, Man of the Year; and Joseph Vrdolyak, Class of 1994, and Peter Vrdolyak, Class of 1991, owners of Cardinal Fitness, for Man of the Arena Awards.
Man of the Arena Awards also will be presented to former Mt. Carmel athletes Bill Hare, Class of 1955; Mark Duffy, Class of 1968; Bill Drew, Class of 1955; Rich Hobby, Class of 1961; Don Veronesi, Class of 1992; Col.
