Confidential Care has a clear mission - provide comprehensive intensive outpatient care for adolescents and adults in an environment that encompasses multiple levels of treatment including, therapy, medical tests, and medication management. Confidential Care provides treatment by two physicians, Drs. Sanker and Vijay Jayachandran, M.D’s., board certified psychiatrists, and specialists in addiction psychiatry (also Dr. Vijay is a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association) along with two nurse practitioners and six clinical therapists, making their practice uniquely qualified to handle a wide range of diagnoses. Areas of focus include social and school behavior, family counseling, drug and alcohol addiction treatment, and ADHD in adolescents. Confidential Care provides additional special help for patients with depression, panic and anxiety attacks, grief and loss, divorce, bi-polar disorders, and customized outpatient medication-assisted detoxification rehab and counseling.

 

“We are on call 24/7. Over the years we have developed intensive outpatient care for addiction that helps patients to get better in a safer place. Dr. Vijay explains, “We started outpatient detoxification so patients don’t have to be hospitalized. Dr. Jay, along with the help of a nurse practitioner, is able to give medication for addiction as a monthly injection to prevent the craving of the addiction. We like to combine the old and new methods to create a better treatment plan for our patients. Also, the doctors and staff involve the family and oftentimes the school when treating adolescents.”

 

Dr. Vijay says, “The best reward is seeing a patient get better in a very short amount of time. A smile and a thank you from a patient makes me feel we are accomplishing our mission. This is why we are open on Christmas Day when many people struggle with their emotions. They can’t go any place and they can’t afford to go to the emergency room for treatment. Christmas Day is when our patients may need us most; so we make sure to be here for them.” Dr. Vijay provides intensive outpatient care and the program is the only IOP run by a psychiatrists and a therapist.
