As your Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the 2026-27 academic year at Purdue University Northwest. Whether you are beginning this next step in your journey with us or returning for another year, we are excited to have you as part of our campus community.
We recognize that recent severe weather has impacted many members of our university family and our campuses. While challenges remain, the PNW community has always been defined by its resilience, compassion and determination. Together, we will continue to rebuild and move forward with confidence and hope. We are grateful for the patience and flexibility demonstrated by our entire campus community as we work together during this unprecedented time.
If you encounter obstacles along the way, please remember that you are not alone. Your faculty, academic advisors, student success professionals, department leaders and many others across the university are committed to supporting your academic and personal journey. We encourage you to take advantage of the many campus resources available to support you, including the newly launched Student Success Hub and Network.
This Hub – currently located in CLO 176 (Hammond) and has personnel in TECH 157 (Westville) – is a student-centered initiative that brings together key support services, campus resources and community partnerships in one coordinated location designed to help you thrive academically and personally. In addition, information on all student support services can be found on the Student Handbook webpage.
Throughout this academic year, we encourage you to stay engaged and ask for help when needed to take advantage of the opportunities that will help you thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
