On behalf of Ashley Clark, assistant vice chancellor for university enterprises, I am pleased to share an important announcement regarding leadership for Purdue University Northwest Dining Services.
Following a comprehensive search process, two key leadership appointments have been made in preparation for the fall 2026 launch of PNW Dining Services as a self-operated auxiliary unit.
Diane Wisniewski has been selected as director of dining services. Diane brings more than 20 years of dining services leadership experience on the Hammond campus and a deep understanding of our campus community. Her extensive institutional knowledge will be invaluable as we transition to this new model.
Chef Rick Smith has been selected as director of food and beverage. A PNW alumnus of the White Lodging School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, Chef Rick offers decades of industry experience and has served as executive chef on the Hammond campus for the past two years. His commitment to quality and strong connection to our community will help shape an outstanding dining experience.
Diane and Chef Rick will officially join Purdue University Northwest as employees on July 1, 2026, coinciding with the transition to a fully self-operated dining program.
Please join us in welcoming Diane and Chef Rick to their new roles. We look forward to the positive impact their leadership will bring to our campus dining experience.
Sincerely,
Stephen Turner
