The Faculty Research Board is excited to announce a new opportunity to engage with research across our campus. Replacing the monthly coffee hour, the PNW Distinguished Discovery Series will spotlight a different college each month through a college research showcase.
How it works
Faculty in each college will select a Distinguished Faculty representative to share their work with the university community. Each presenter will give a 30-minute informal talk highlighting research they are excited about.
This might include a recent publication, a grant-funded project or new findings from their lab. The presentation will be followed by 30 minutes of open discussion and networking.
Who should attend
Everyone. The series is open to faculty, staff and students. Attendees can learn about the research taking place across PNW, spark new conversations and discover opportunities for collaboration.
Faculty Research Board members representing each college will coordinate their college’s selection process.
Series schedule
Distinguished Researcher designation:
Individuals who attend at least three presentations will receive a Distinguished Researcher designation, including a certificate recognizing their participation and a commemorative pin.
We look forward to seeing attendees at the showcases and celebrating the discoveries happening across PNW.
Readers are invited to join the inaugural showcase on Wednesday, November 11, featuring the College of Technology.
