BOURBONNAIS, Ill. — The Indiana University Northwest women's cross country team set a program record Thursday, averaging 27:20 across its scoring five at the ONU Midwest Classic, hosted by Olivet Nazarene University, as the RedHawks placed fifth in a six-team field.
Junior Katie Plopper led the way for IU Northwest, running a personal-record 23:55.4 to finish 11th overall and move onto the program's all-time list. Senior Nora Loebbert followed in 25:22.0, good for 29th place, a PR that vaulted her into the program's all-time top 10.

Olivet Nazarene won the women's team title with 34 points, followed by North Central (Ill.), Purdue Northwest and Governors State. IU Northwest's 143 points were good for fifth ahead of Southwestern Michigan College. Purdue Northwest's Myrriam Dhoore won the individual race in 23:05.5.
The IU Northwest men did not field a full scoring squad but saw personal-best performances across the board. Freshman Eli Tyrpin led the RedHawks with a top-10 program time of 29:30.5. Alec McDonald (32:57.0), Owen Tyrpin (33:12.0) and Jordan Warnell (38:23.1) each set personal records as well. Olivet Nazarene's Charlie Bardwell won the men's individual race in 25:42.9, with Olivet Nazarene also claiming the men's team title.
IU Northwest continues its 2026 campaign Oct. 3 at the Seminole Valley Stampede, hosted by Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
