New Lenox resident Tony Kavaliunas grew up a Chicago Bears fan, and he was in Bears heaven this month. Kavaliunas was a VIP guest at the Pro Football Hall of Fame festivities Aug. 1-3 in Canton, Ohio.

Maggie Gormley finished 176th in the state in Class 2A girls cross country, becoming the first girls from Tinley Park High School to make state in 30 years.
