The Purdue Northwest women's soccer team battled through a scoreless first half before senior Natasha Tanner's (Perth, Australia/Woodvale Secondary College) second-half goal lifted the Lions to a 1-0 GLIAC road victory over Ferris State Sunday afternoon.

Tanner scored the lone goal of the match at the 63:22 mark, finding the back of the net off an assist from sophomore Sophia Carbone (Danville, Calif./Monte Vista).

Senior Meta Fischer (DeForest, Wis./DeForest) played all 90 minutes in goal for the Lions, recording four saves to earn her third shutout of the season.

The Lions were called for four fouls, compared with seven for the Bulldogs.
