The No. 17 Purdue Northwest ACHA D1 hockey team opened the 2026-27 season in dominant fashion, sweeping a two-game home series against Kentucky as the Lions rolled to a 6-1 victory in the opener before holding off the Wildcats 2-1 Saturday night at The Kube.
The weekend sweep gave PNW a perfect 2-0 start to the season while showcasing a balanced offensive attack and strong goaltending across both games.
